As one of the largest surveying companies in the UK, Plowman Craven has spent more than 50 years providing a range of measurement and surveying services to the property, rail and infrastructure markets.

 

With offices at Harpenden in Hertfordshire and Central London, they work in both the private and public sector, playing a key role on some of the most prestigious development projects in the UK and overseas.

The Challenge

As a current customer of Wavenet, Plowman Craven had been using a personalised Skype for Business solution with additional bespoke functionality to support the businesses needs.

With Skype for Business set to retire, Plowman Craven found themselves in the position of needing a new platform and one that would bring all their communication channels into one user-friendly place.

With nearly 100 users, usability and remote working capabilities were key, particularly as the pandemic took hold and the team were forced into working from home.

 


The Solution

TeamsLink, our Microsoft Teams Telephony solution was identified as the perfect solution for Plowman Craven. With a simplified migration process that allowed Plowman Craven to run both Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams side by side they were able to monitor employee adoption and advocacy before full migration, ironing out any issues as they arose. As Skype will continue to function until it's retirement this gives Plowman Craven the flexibility to choose how and when to upgrade.
