GKH Recruitment Ltd are a specialist transport and logistics recruitment company offering temporary and permanent driving positions. Providing fully qualified and thoroughly vetted personnel to fulfil temporary staffing needs to help maximise the smooth running of logistic operations.

 

GKH Recruitment Ltd is fast defining itself as a market leading specialist to some of the country’s most prominent Logistics Operations.

 

Currently providing contracted professional drivers to major companies on a preferred agency basis they have built an excellent track record in providing competent staffing solutions compatible to their customer’s logistic operations.

The Challenge

COVID-19 represented a huge challenge to GKH Recruitment and its staff. Firstly they needed to facilitate a remote working solution and quickly, and secondly, and most importantly they needed to keep working throughout the pandemic as suppliers of drivers for vital frontline services.

GKH Recruitment's current system was run over ISDN originally with an end of life NEC system with no call forwarding or simultaneous ringing options and with no flexibility in the solution to enable home working.

 

The Solution

After discussions around the frustrations presented by the current system and the customers immediate needs. Account manager Rhys Littlejohns presented the Wavenet Hosted Voice solution, tailoring the demonstration to the business needs to highlight the immediate benefits of being able to rapidly deploy the system.

Wavenet discussed GKH's needs and a bespoke solution was created to fit their business needs. Wavenet would also be responsible for the engineering work to get GKH's inbound traffic routed to the cloud and then to apps on mobiles meaning that calls to desk phones would now be seamlessly redirected to employees mobiles.

 

The Results

GKH Recruitment has seen significant benefits from the solution provided by Wavenet including:

 

  • Remote working: Whilst this was critical to business continuity when the pandemic hit the benefits of remote working have stretched beyond this, allowing staff to work remotely when they choose and giving greater flexibility to the working week

  • End user experience: The solution provided by Wavenet was deployed so rapidly GKH's clients had noticed no change in service levels and were surprised to find that the company was working from home.
