Utilising SIP on the Mitel UC360 could not be easier and usually takes a couple of minutes. But before you start to configure SIP you need to make sure that your Mitel Phone System programming has been completed as you might run into complications further down the road.

You will need certain information whilst setting up SIP which includes:

  • SIP server address name
  • user name
  • login name
  • device configuration form

You should be able to obtain this information from your phone system administrator of the company that installed the system. Once you have this information press the settings key (which looks slightly like a compass). Once you are in the settings menu press advanced, system settings and then SIP settings.

Account Settings

You can then enter all the information needed earlier, under the account option enter the server address and the IP address. Then enter username and the SIP user’s ID (extension number of the phone you are configuring).

Authentication Settings

For the authentication settings enter the login name as well as the password, this will be the details for the user.
