22/05/2019 - SOLIHULL: Wavenet’s EdgeConnect SD WAN has been shortlisted in the category of Enterprise ICT Solution, which is awarded to resellers, dealers or VARs selling a particular solution suitable for businesses in the Enterprise sector (classed as 500+ users).
Judges at Comms Business Awards were impressed with Wavenet’s work with financial advisory business Mazars, helping the organisation switch to a hybrid WAN set-up when it opened its international branch sites in Australia, Delhi and New York. Its existing infrastructure wasn’t able to support the expansion and Wavenet was on hand to facilitate the migration.
“As our business expanded, we soon began to realise that our existing WAN infrastructure was not able to offer the same level of service it provides our UK sites at our international branch offices,” says David Bennett, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Mazars. “We needed to change our global IT infrastructure to support our international offices fully – and Wavenet was the obvious choice.”
SD WAN is continuing on its projected upward trajectory with the market size expected to grow from $1 billion in 2018 to $4.1 billion by 2023, at a CAGR of 32.7% during the forecast period.1
The technology offered by Wavenet enables businesses to refine performance and end-user experience, delivering a reliable and secure Wide Area Network to ensure cloud-based apps can operate efficiently across the world.
Wavenet Hosted Voice was shortlisted in the Hosted Platform category, a new award reserved for hosted telephony suppliers that serve the channel, in which applicants must ably demonstrate their ability to provide an innovative product and business model.
Wavenet Hosted Voice (WHV) offers a competitive solution, encompassing the best of BT Wholesale and BroadCloud, enabling businesses to be more mobile and adaptable, and provide the potential for growth.
Wavenet’s Wholesale division focuses on working more efficiently with its channel partners, with clear innovation, collaboration and education pillars to help its partners expand markets, retain customers, improve efficiencies and stay compliant.
It’s this fresh approach and partner programme transformation that led Comms Business’ judges to shortlist the entry.
Wavenet’s Chief Commercial Officer, Philip Grannum, commented: “We’re extremely proud to be recognised as leaders against such strong competition. We strive to offer innovative solutions that drive real business change, and being shortlisted for two awards is a huge testament to that.”
For two decades, Comms Business Magazine has been the go-to for industry professionals working in the fields of Comms, IT, Data, Mobile and Security. It is now the market leader in terms of both circulation quality and advertiser support. The awards ceremony will take place on 20th June in London, and you can see the full shortlist here.
